What a distributor runs on .wms.

  1. Trade orders picked complete and shipped by cut-off, on the cheapest carrier service that meets the promise.
  2. Retailer orders that pass the scorecard: labels, pallets and despatch advices built to each retailer’s rules, so chargebacks stop.
  3. Trade customers ordering online against live stock, with their own approvals, instead of phoning the branch.
  4. Counts that run every day without stopping the branch, so the ERP holds stock it can sell.
  5. Supplier receipts inspected and held until they pass, so faults are caught at the dock, not at the customer.
  6. Paint, gas, aerosols, chemicals and lithium batteries stored, picked and declared as dangerous goods.
  7. Every branch, acquisition and country on the same system, with its own stock and the same rules.
  8. Connected to NetSuite, SYSPRO, SAP, MYOB Advanced, Dynamics 365 and more.

Complete by cut-off. Every order, every branch.

A trade customer keeps buying from the distributor that ships complete and on time. .wms sets the due time by service and cut-off, releases work in waves so the truck leaves full and on schedule, picks straight into the carton or the pallet with a scan confirming every line, and chooses the cheapest carrier service that still meets the promise. Pick faces replenish themselves by velocity, and counts run every day on a cycle, so the stock the ERP shows is the stock the customer gets. Fill rate stops being a monthly argument.

Complete-by-cut-off waves and daily cycle counts in use at distributors across Australia, New Zealand and North America.

Retailer orders that pass the scorecard.

National retailers, hardware chains and grocers fine suppliers for late despatch advices, wrong labels and short pallets. .wms maps each retailer’s orders, despatch advices and receipts per trading partner, builds mixed pallets to their rules, prints the pallet and carton labels they specify, and sends the despatch advice before the truck arrives. X12 and EDIFACT trading partners are set up by configuration, not a project. Chargebacks become a line the CFO no longer has to explain.

Trade customers order online. Nobody re-keys it.

Your trade customers get a branded ordering site over live warehouse stock: their pricing, their approvals, their cost centres, their sign-in. Orders land in the warehouse as work, not as an email a branch has to type in. The customer sees what is actually on the shelf, chooses delivery or branch pick-up, and follows the order to the door. Phone orders fall, credits fall, and the branch counter serves the customers who walk in.

Branches, acquisitions and countries, without re-platforming.

A new branch or an acquired business goes live on the same system with its own stock, its own customers and the rules you already run, in weeks. Distributors on .wms run Australia and New Zealand from one ERP account, and Thomax-powered operations run in 30 countries. New starters are productive on the handheld in a morning, which is how the branch keeps its labour cost flat while volume grows. Supplier receipts are inspected and held until they pass, kits are assembled on the floor with the components counted out, and the ERP gets receipts, confirmations and stock the same minute. Many Thomax projects pay back in under 12 months.

5 billion+ units a year move through Thomax .wms. 99.99% uptime over the last 12 months.

Paint, gas and batteries, declared on every consignment.

The DG class, packing group and UN number are validated when the item is created, so a missing field is caught by the product team, not by a carrier refusing the freight. DG stock is stored in its own zones, the data rides on every pick to the consignment, and the carrier declaration and lithium battery fields are raised with the label. In daily use at distributors and 3PLs in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Canada.

Automate the bulk, the parts and the mixed pallet.

Full pallets live in a unit-load AS/RS or a pallet-shuttle store and small parts in vertical lift modules, with .wms deciding what comes out for each trade order and each retailer wave. Robotic palletising builds the mixed store pallet with the retailer’s label applied on the line. Thomax builds the white-box control layer and integrates vendor systems, so a branch can add a machine without changing the WMS, and dangerous goods stay in their own zones and lanes throughout.
