Stores, online and marketplaces pick from one live stock position, not a channel allocation that strands stock in the wrong bucket. Stock is checked before work is released, so a web order never picks against a unit the store already has. Every order then picks and packs its own way: singles straight to satchel, multi-line orders sorted on the wall, store cartons to pallet, in the same wave on the same floor.

Peak is a busier day, not a second system and not a second building. Waves build themselves to carrier cut-offs and release a singles wave beside the multi-line work. Put walls turn a bulk pick into hundreds of orders, with express orders pulled forward and late orders flagged before they miss the truck. The wallboard shows every zone’s progress, the shortfall and the time to done. New starters are productive on the handheld in days, so the seasonal ramp does not halve your productivity.

The box is chosen before the pick and built, filled and labelled by the packing machine at the end of the line, so an order is touched once between the shelf and the carrier. Inbound and outbound sorters take their lane decisions from .wms rules, so every carton reaches the right carrier or store lane without a second scan, and robot picking adds capacity by the zone when volume climbs. Thomax builds the white-box control system and integrates black-box robotics from the vendors you choose. All of it is live on .wms today, and many Thomax automation projects pay back in under 12 months.
